FAQ

Downloader notes

Which links are supported?

Public Instagram posts, reels, and TV links; public web pages that openly publish video or image files (Open Graph tags, JSON-LD, or plain video tags); and direct MP4, MOV, WEBM, M4V, JPG, PNG, WEBP, and GIF file links.

Do I need to log in?

No. ClipSave only reads what a page publicly serves to any visitor. It never asks for usernames or passwords and never uses cookies or credentials to access content.

Why does a page return no downloadable media?

The page likely requires login, is private, uses DRM protection, or streams video in segmented formats (HLS/DASH) that are not single downloadable files. ClipSave does not bypass any of these protections.

Can I download someone else's content?

Only download media you have the right to save — your own content, openly licensed content, or content you have permission to use. You are responsible for respecting copyright and the source platform's terms.

What happens to files I download?

Files stream through the server directly to your browser and are not stored. Download links expire after 10 minutes and the service keeps no record of the media itself.
