About ClipSave

ClipSave is a browser-based tool for saving publicly available media. It works with public Instagram posts, reels, and TV links, with public web pages that openly publish video or image files, and with direct media file links.

Who it is for

ClipSave is for people who need a quick way to save public media they have the right to keep — content creators archiving their own posts, social media managers collecting approved assets, and anyone saving openly licensed or permitted media for offline use.

How it works

When you paste a link, the server fetches the public page the same way any browser visitor would — without logging in, without cookies, and without any credentials — and looks for openly published media such as Open Graph video tags, JSON-LD media declarations, or plain video elements. Matching files are offered as download links that stream through the server to your browser. Nothing is stored: download links expire after 10 minutes and media files are never kept on the server.

What it will not do

• It does not access private accounts, stories, or login-protected content.
• It does not bypass DRM or any technical protection.
• It does not download segmented streams (HLS/DASH) that are not single files.
• It does not store your links, downloads, or personal browsing data.
